TECH QUESTION

Idk how to describe this, but is it possible to plug an external processer into a computer to make it better? Like, you have just a processer in a box, but you can connect it to a computer and tell the computer "run everything through this processor instead of the one inside you" and it runs it through the other faster one in the box. Is that a thing that exists?

@Dayglochainsaw That doesn’t currently exist. However, nothing technically prevents it. In fact, in the ’90s there was a line of PowerBooks that provided full data lines from the logic board to a slide-in dock. In this case it didn’t *replace* the CPU, but it did add a floating point unit, video cards, and arbitrary expansion cards.
